SUB 300 Ti5: The SUB, Reforged

SUB 300 Ti5: The SUB, Reforged

Some watches are defined by their design. Others are defined by what they are built to do. The SUB 300 has always been both. Since its introduction in 1967, the SUB 300 has represented DOXA’s uncompromising approach to the dive watch: highly functional, instantly recognisable and engineered to perform where conditions leave little room for error.

Now, nearly sixty years later, the SUB 300 enters a new chapter. Meet the SUB 300 Ti5.

The Return of Titanium

There is a reason certain materials become standards in demanding environments. Grade 5 titanium is one of them. Used across aerospace, motorsport, advanced engineering and diving equipment, it combines exceptional strength with remarkably low weight and outstanding resistance to corrosion. For a watch designed to spend time in and around the water, the advantages are obvious.

Compared with stainless steel, Grade 5 titanium is around 40% lighter while offering greater mechanical strength. On the wrist, that difference is immediately noticeable. The SUB 300 Ti5 feels lighter and more comfortable, particularly over long periods of wear, while retaining the robustness expected from a serious dive instrument. Yet titanium brings its own challenge: it is notoriously demanding to machine.

Bringing titanium back to the permanent SUB collection was therefore not simply a matter of changing the material. It meant applying specialist expertise to explore what titanium could bring to the SUB 300 while preserving everything that makes it unmistakably DOXA.

Still a SUB 300

The answer is deliberately familiar.

The distinctive cushion-shaped case remains, as does the patented unidirectional rotating bezel with its dual scale correlating depth and dive time. The oversized minute hand remains the immediate visual reference, while Super-LumiNova® ensures that essential information stays legible when the light disappears.

Water resistance remains rated to 300 metres. The proportions, functionality and unmistakable visual identity that have defined the SUB 300 for generations remain firmly intact.

The SUB 300 Ti5 does not attempt to reinvent the icon. Instead, it refines it through the use of a material that brings a new dimension to the experience of wearing it: less weight, without compromising the character and performance that define the SUB 300.

Five Colours. One DNA.

Part of the appeal of the SUB 300 has always been its personality. The Ti5 collection embraces that heritage through a selection of familiar DOXA colours, each bringing its own character while remaining unmistakably part of the SUB family.

Professional Orange remains the unmistakable signature of the collection. Sharkhunter brings the timeless restraint of black, while Caribbean introduces the deep blue of the underwater world. Red Coral adds a rich, energetic note that feels equally at home in the city or in the water.

And then there is Whitepearl.

When the Dial Comes Alive

With Whitepearl, DOXA takes the concept of legibility somewhere entirely new. Rather than simply applying luminous material to the indices and hands, the entire dial is coated in white Super-LumiNova®.

In daylight, the intense white surface creates a striking contrast with the metallic grey of the titanium case. As the light fades, however, the watch transforms. The entire dial becomes a luminous surface, creating an immediate and highly legible display in low-light conditions.

Underwater, at night, or simply in the dark, Whitepearl reveals a completely different personality. It is a reminder that, on a true tool watch, luminosity is not decoration. It is function.

Precision to Match the Material

The SUB 300 Ti5 is powered by a Swiss automatic movement officially certified as a COSC chronometer. Each movement undergoes independent testing in multiple positions and at different temperatures before earning its certification, ensuring a high level of consistency in timekeeping.

For a dive watch, precision is more than a technical specification. When a watch is designed as an instrument, every second counts.

The combination of COSC-certified precision, 300-metre water resistance, robust construction and exceptional legibility keeps the SUB 300 Ti5 firmly rooted in the philosophy established by DOXA in 1967.

The Evolution of an Icon

Nearly six decades ago, DOXA changed the dive watch by making professional underwater technology accessible to a wider audience. Today, the SUB 300 Ti5 continues that same idea from a different starting point.

The technologies and materials have evolved. The expectations of modern wearers have changed. Yet the purpose remains remarkably consistent: to create a watch that is functional, reliable and built to perform.

Lighter. Stronger. More comfortable. Still unmistakably DOXA.

The SUB 300 Ti5 is not a departure from the icon. It is its next chapter — a new expression of the SUB 300 that demonstrates what happens when an established design is given the opportunity to evolve without losing its identity.
